Lake Odessa wave-Thurs. November 8, 1945

MRS. L. BOWERMAN DIED FRIDAY EVE.
Mrs. Elizabeth McGee Bowerman, 77, died at her farm home north of town Friday 
evening from a heart ailment. She had suffered a heart attack on Sunday and was 
improving when a second attack Thursday caused her death.

She was born near Rice Creek, Mich., and was united in marriage to Lundy I. 
Bowerman in 1885 who died in 1929. Mrs and Mrs Bowerman came to Michigan from 
Indiana in 1900 and purchased the farm one and a half miles northwest of Lake 
Odessa where she has since made her home.

To this union were born two children, a daughter Beulah, who died in 1916, and a 
son Ralph, on the home farm. Surviving besides the son are eight grandchildren, 
two brothers, Ernest McGee in Battle Creek, and Guy McGee near Marshall, and 12 
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Wortley & Blaine Chapel Monday afternoon with 
the Rev. J.Lawrence Ward officiating. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery.
