Lake Odessa Wave - July 8, 1948
          VICTIM OF CAR CRASH DIES
   Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Pickens funeral chapel for Ralph
Bowerman, 57, who died at 
Pennock hospital at 9 a.m. Monday following injuries received in an automobile
accident near his home 
Tuesday evening of last week.  Death resulted from a skull fracture and internal
injuries.
   Mr. Bowerman was born at Gary, Ind., and came to this community at the age of
nine, where he had lived for 
the last 48 years.
   Surviving are the wife Edna; three daughters, Mrs. Herbert Buxton, Mrs. Wm.
Haskins, and Mrs. Raymond 
Piper, all of Lake Odessa; three sons, Leslie of Lyons, Ralph Jr. and Richard of
Lake Odessa; also surviving are 
eleven grand children.
   Burial was at Lakeside cemetery.
