Ralph Bowerman, Jr., 48, of Lake Odessa, passed away suddenly on Saturday 
afternoon, September 1, 2007.  Ralph was born in Ionia on October 31, 1958 to 
Ralph and Lucille (Misner) Bowerman.  He graduated with honors from Lakewood 
High school in 1977.

Ralph was united in marriage to Tammy Carpenter on September 9, 1978.  He had 
worked at General Motors for 30 years, and was currently employed as a master 
carpenter throughout West Michigan.  Ralph loved hunting and fishing and being 
outdoors.

He is survived by Tammy, his loving wife of 29 years; children, Amanda 
Bowerman and Ralph Bowerman III; father, Ralph Bowerman, Sr.; brothers, Roger 
(Lorri) Bowerman and Steve (Jeannie) Bowerman; grandmother Marjorie Bowerman; 
brother-in-law, Cam (Pat) Yager; and many more loving relatives and friends.  
Ralph was preceded in death by his mother.

Visitation will be held at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa on 
Wednesday, September 5 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.  The funeral service will be 
held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Koops Funeral Chapel.  Burial will 
follow in Lakeside Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family 
for a cause to be determined at a later time.
