Ionia Daily Sentinel – Wednesday, 7 April 1937

Byron Leroy Bowers, Jr., six months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Bowers, died 
at his home at Hersey April 1, at 6 o’clock from whooping cough.  Surviving 
him were his parents; three brothers, Harold, Howard and Ivan; two sisters, 
Helen and Viola.  Burial was in the River Ridge cemetery near Hersey Sunday, 
April 4 after the funeral at the home.
