Carl (Hillbilly) E. Bowling, age 44, of Ionia, passed away Aug. 12, 2007 due 
to accidental injuries.  He was born Feb. 28, 1963 in Lansing, the son of 
Billy Jo and Rhoda (Johnson) Bowling.

Carl is survived by his mother, Rhoda Perkins of Ionia; daughters, Amanda 
Bailey of Illinois, Sonya (Randall) Broughton and Carl Bowling Jr.; sister, 
Candi Newton of Kentucky; stepbrothers, Mike Perkins of Ionia, Brad 
(Christina) Perkins of Lake Odessa and Chad (Shannon) Perkins of Lake Odessa; 
stepsisters, Roxanne Williams of Hastings, Cheri Perkins of Battle Creek and 
Sheila Perkins of Hastings; grandchildren, Angel and Kiyana and many aunts, 
uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his 
father Billy Jo Bowling, stepfather Dewey Perkins and grandparents, Carl and 
Evelyn Johnson and Goldie and Carl Bowling.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007 at Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia. Anyone wishing may make a memorial contribution in 
Carl's name to the family.
