Judith Ann Bowne, age 69, was united with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 10, 2010.
 Her acceptance of Christ in her forties provides strength and comfort to her
family and friends.

Judy loved spending time of the shores of Lake Michigan near the town of Glenn.
 She enjoyed many years of walking, running, doing crossword puzzles, bird
watching, traveling in their RV and being involved in her church (Calvary Chapel
Sunset Coast in Benton Harbor).  Having returned to college later in life, she
completed an Associates degree from Montcalm Community College, a Bachelor’s
degree from Grand Valley State University, and a Master’s degree from Central
Michigan University.  Prior to her retirement from the Ionia Public Schools,
Judy taught in an elementary EI classroom and middle school Resource Room.

She is survived by her husband of almost fifty years, Bill; her four children,
Andy (Ruth) Bowne, Jason (Debbie) Bowne, Becky (Troy) Hoople and Josh (Michelle)
Bowne; her eight grandchildren, Michael Bowne, Elisabeth Bowne, Daniel Fahey,
Jessica Fahey, Jill Fahey, Jaycob Lewis, Gavin Hoople and Adelaide Bowne; her
sister Janet MacKinnon and her cousin Robert (Julia) Sherwood.  Judy was
preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Dorothy Putt.

Memorial gifts can be made to Gideon’s International, Gospel for Asia, and
Special Olympics (Area 11).  Visitations will be held at the Lake Funeral Home
(3521 S. State Rd., Ionia) on Friday, Feb. 12, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  The
funeral service will be held at Galilee Baptist Church in Saranac (291 Orchard
St.) on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m.
