The Belding Banner-News, Thursday, November 7, 1963


Mrs. Edna Boyd, aged 85, died Oct. 30, at a local nursing home, following a 
long illness. Her home was 819 S. Pleasant St.  

Born in Otisco township, March 29, 1878, Mrs. Boyd had lived in Belding for the 
past 60 years.  On Sept. 28, 1897 she was married to Frank Boyd who died in 
1953.  She was a member of the First Church of Christ and the Royal Neighbors 
of America.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Mrs. Roy (Marilyn) Tift of Belding; two great-
grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sarah Boyd.

Funeral services were held Friday at the Huffman Funeral Home with the Rev. Sid 
Baarda of the First Church of Christ officiating.  Burial was in River Ridge 
cemetery.
