Lowell Ledger, 17 Oct 1918

The blue star on the service flag of Mrs. N. M. O’Beirne has turned to gold, her
brother, Frank Boyd, having died at Camp Custer of pneumonia Oct. 5.  The body
was brought here by Corporal Muligan.  Funeral services were held at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. O’Beirne Wednesday at 9:30, burial in the South Boston cemetery. 
Of the four brothers, all of whom reside at Youngstown, Ohio, three were
present.  The community sympathizes with the family in its sorrow.
