Heart failure was the cause of his death. Coroner Boynton and Sheriff Taylor, who were called to the Curtis home, found an inquest unnecessary. Mr. Boynton was buried in Lakeside cemetery Tuesday afternoon. The funeral was held at the Curtis home, Rev. W. J. Prestidge preaching the sermon. The deceased is survived by a brother. A rumor has been circulated to the effect that $5,150 was found in a can hidden away among some old clothes belonging to Mr. Boynton. However, this report is unsubstantiated, and as far as we can learn, appears to be the result of some hard thinking of an imaginative correspondent of the state dailies.
