Maurice “Buzzy” Bozung, 72, of 14615 96th Ave., Coopersville, died Monday, May 
3, 2004 at Metropolitan Hospital, Grand Rapids.  He was born June 16, 1931 in 
Belding, the son of Ambrose and Phoebe Bunce Bozung.  He married Rose Marie 
Williams on October 17, 1952 in Greenville.

Mr. Bozung was a resident of Coopersville for the past 30 years and was 
formerly of Stanton.   He was a member of the Michigan National Guard for 30 
years and retired as an auto mechanic from Grand Valley Armory after 21 years 
of service.  He enjoyed camping throughout the summer at the lake.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Bozung; children, Linda and Rick Withey 
of Lakeview, Kathy Comer of Durham, N.C., DeWayne and LuAnn Bozung of St. 
Louis, Mich., Darreld Bozung, Dean Bozung, both of Coopersville; grandchildren, 
Kelly and Doug Loweke, Michael and Amy Collier, Julie and Jason Anderson, Teri 
and Randy Kirby, Mindi and Richard Geister, Thomas and Heather Comer, David 
Comer, Heather and Jason Naffziger, Matthew and Amanda Bozung, Dean Bozung Jr.; 
and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan, 
with the Rev. Buzz Stone officiating.  Interment is in East Montcalm Cemetery, 
Greenville.  Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
