The Ionia County News, Thursday, April 18, 1929


Mrs. Clara Brace passed away at a hospital in Gary, Ind., April 13, having 
undergone a major operation the previous Monday.  She was born in Berlin 
township and lived there until about 11 years ago, April 3, when she married 
Earnest Brace, of Gary, Ind.  

Besides the husband she leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Fisher, two 
brothers, John and Henry Fisher and a sister, Mrs. Jas. Topp, all of Berlin 
township.  Also a sister, Mrs. Mabel Jarvis, of East Chicago.

The body was brought to Saranac Sunday to her father’s home.  Funeral services 
were held at 2 o’clock Tuesday at the Congregational church, Rev. Robt. 
MacFarlane, officiating.  Burial was in Saranac cemetery.
