Ionia Sentinel - Standard
Mrs. Mable VanVleck Bracken, 84, died Tuesday morning at Belding Christian 
nursing home where she had been a patient for two years.  She was born near Palo 
July 23, 1892, a daughter of Cassius and Stella Dodson VanVleck.  She attended 
Palo school but went to California in 1912 where she remained until 1974 when 
she returned to Michigan.  She married Ted Bracken, who preceded her in death in 
1968.  Mrs. Bracken was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and White Shrines 
of Covina, Cal.

She is survived by two brothers, Frank VanVleck of Belding and Peter VanVleck of 
Ionia; one sister, Julie Kennedy of Ionia and several nieces and nephews.  The 
family will receive friends and relatives at the Leddick funeral home in Ionia 
Wednesday 7 to 9 pm.  Early Thursday morning she will be flown to Covina, Ca. 
for services and entombment in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens mausoleum.
