Bracker, 91, was born on Thanksgiving day in 1916 and passed away in her daughter’s home this Thanksgiving Day, 91 years later, under the loving care of her family. She was born in Detroit, the daughter of James and Alto Rich Graham and attended schools in Belding. She married Alphonzo J. Byrnes in 1934 and had four children. Alphonzo died in 1956 after 22 years of marriage. Isabell married Carlton Bracker in Belding in 1973. Carlton preceded her in death in 1996 after 23 years of marriage. She worked many years in Belding at O’Keefe Clothing Store until its closing. She later retired from Gibson Manufacturing. She was a kind and beautiful person who was a friend to all. She enjoyed life, flowers, reading, dancing, visiting and getting out with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lucile Warner, Violet Jacoby and Thelma Schafer; two brothers, Carl and Earl Graham; and granddaughter, Katheleen “Leenie” Satterlee. She was a loving mother of three daughters and a son who survive her, Patricia and Richard Bracker, Kittie and David Eady, Aubin and Buster Byrnes, all of Belding, and Judith and Ray Parker of Sherman, Texas; four grandchildren, Michael Durnell, Amy Blocher, Kerry Howard, Kevin Byrnes; seven great- grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma and Clayton Simons of Belding, Juanita Crawford of Greenville; and sister-in-law, Dympna Brown of Wayne. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place and three will be no visitation. A private memorial service for the family will take place. Inurnment will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Isabell was a compassionate and caring person with deep concern for the less fortunate. Therefore, she requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Belding Emergency Fund. Envelopes will be available at the Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, where care and service have been entrusted.
