Bradbury, age 80, of Hubbardston, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008 at the Laurels of Carson City. Agnes was born Nov. 15, 1928 in Hubbardston the daughter of Henry and Veronica (Bierstetel) Schafer. She was married to Edwin Bradbury on Sept. 25, 1947 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston. Agnes was a lifetime member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Hubbardston and the VFW Auxiliary in Sheridan. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston. Agnes enjoyed playing Bingo, cooking, canning, gardening, biking and walking. Agnes was a devoted mother and grandmother who especially loved time spent with her family. Agnes is survived by her children, John E. Bradbury of Belding, Patricia (Carl) Zurhorst of Clarksville, Jean (Bill) Sherman of Holt, Fran (Gary) Maybee of Lyons, Theresa Bradbury of Gladstone, Laura (Ron) Johnston of Greenville, George Bradbury of Hubbardston and Ben (Tami) Bradbury of Belding; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ann Kramer of Pewamo and Rita Gesselman of Carson City; two brothers Gerald Schafer of Hubbardston and Tom (Helen) Schafer of St. Johns and a sister-in-law, Jean Schafer of Hubbardston. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin in 1998; and two brothers, Ben and Paul Schafer. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, Dec 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston with Fr. Tom Thompson officiating. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home in Carson City. A rosary will be held Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
