          PROMINENT MAN OF LAKE ODESSA GONE.

                                   ------------

      Cyrus F. Braden After Long Illness Passes Away.  

   Knew Most Every One and was Highly Respected by

                 Everyone.  Beloved by Family.

                                    ------------

   Four brothers of the Braden family have died within the past two years.  Each
leaves a sorrowful home.

   The Bradens were highly respected and sincerely regarded by their many
acquaintances having lived in this 
vicinity most of their lives and their children can well "rise up and call them
blessed."

   Mr. C. F. Braden as he was most familiarly known by most people was of a most
kindly and sociable nature 
and had firm ideas of right and wrong and was ever interested in the passing events
of the times.

   Formerly Mrs. Braden was a druggist at Lake View but for the past twenty-five
years has resided in Lake 
Odessa where he had been in the employ of the Union Central Insurance Co.

   He was stricken with heart trouble at least a year ago and has been in poor
health since.

   He leaves his excellent wife, a daughter Mrs. Cora Colwell, wife of Atty. R. A.
Colwell of Ionia and a son Guy 
H. Braden, who was for many years in the Banks of this village but who is now with
the Union Bag and Paper 
Co. of Cheboygan.

   The funeral was held at the M.E. church where he was long a member. Serving as an
official and on 
important committees.

    The pastor, Rev. F. H. Cramer preached and Mrs. and Mrs. R. W. Goodemoot and
Miss Teressa Cramer 
furnished the music.

   Burial was at Lakeside cemetery.
