Bradford, an old time resident of Easton, died at his farm home on Saturday, at the age of 76 years. He had been in fairly good health, though failing a little until about two weeks ago, when he suffered a stroke of apoplexy, from which he never recovered. He leaves besides his wife, four children, Mrs. Eugene Rowley of Ionia, Mrs. Grace Lillie, of Grand Rapids, Howard S. Bradford of Grand Rapids and Arthur Bradford, who has made his home on his father’s farm. There are also eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Caroline Wandel of Orleans is a sister of Geo. Bradford, and William Bradford of Ionia, his brother. Mr. Bradford was a member of the 1st Michigan Light Artillery, Co. M. during the Civil war, and went through the conflict without wounds or injuries. His life was unusual in the fact that he spent nearly all of it on the same farm. His people bought the land from the government when they came to this part of the county and he was about one years old, and he occupied that piece of land ever since. A very unusual record to live in one place seventy-five years. The funeral for Mr. Bradford will be held at the farm home in Easton, on Tuesday at two o’clock. Rev. E. E. Branch will officiate and interment will be in Easton cemetery.
