Bradford, 73, 17340 Apache Trail, Howard City, formerly of Belding, died Monday, Sept. 14, 1987, at his home. He was born April 2, 1914, in Pope County, Ill., the son of Roscoe and Hettie Rigor Bradford. He retired as a welder from Ranney Refrigerator Co. in 1976 after 22 years employment there. Mr. Bradford was also a former builder in the Belding area. On Jan. 23, 1936, he married the former Thelma McConnell in Angola, Ind. She survives. Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jackie, Howard City, Kenneth and Una, Richmond, Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Walter (Florence) Haynes, Sebree, Ky., Mrs. Ewing (Ruth) Lee, Murray, Ky., Mrs. Hazel Potts, Paducah, Ky., Mrs. Grace Alquist, Carlsbad, Calif; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home, Belding, the Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment is in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions to the American Lung Association of Michigan are suggested.
