Ionia Sentinel – Friday 19 December 1890
Mrs. Jane Latham, better known to old settlers as Mrs. James Bradford, died at 
the home of her son, John D. Bradford, in this township, on Sunday morning 
last.  Interment in the Easton Cemetery on Tuesday.  She was 85 years old, and 
one of the oldest ladies as well as one of the first settlers of this place.  
She endured many hardships.  Mr. Bradford died nearly 45 years ago and left 
her with seven small children.  Easton at that time was a wilderness.  Five of 
the seven children survive her.
