He was 21 years of age last September. He had been in poor health many months. he was a young man of good habits and highly respected by his friends and acquaintances. Funeral services were conducted from the Baptist church on Saturday afternoon last by Rev. Stewart. The Woodmen, of which deceased was a social member, attended in a body and conducted the services at the grave, the burial ritual of the order being used. There was quite a large turnout of Woodmen, whose floral offering was a handsome wreath, on a bar across the center of which were the initials “M. W. A.” – Modern Woodmen of America.
