Roy Jesse Bradley Jr., 85, of Belding, went to be with his Lord and Savior
Friday morning Feb. 5, 2010 at Spectrum Health Long Term Care Unit in Greenville
under the loving care of his granddaughter Lydia Hopkins.

Roy was born on June 15, 1924 in Ionia County, the son of Roy J. and Lydia
Cutler Bradley.  In earlier years he enjoyed horses, fishing, hunting and had
served as a 4-H leader.  He retired from the Department of Corrections, serving
as a guard in Ionia.  He was a member of Grace Bible Chapel in Belding.  Roy was
a proud veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy.  He was
married on Aug. 14, 1946 in Ionia to Betty Welch.

Roy is loved and survived by his wife Betty and their children, Larry Bradley of
Belding, Gary (Carol) Bradley of Ionia, Vickey (Greg) Grieves of Saranac, Mike
(Lora) Bradley of Lansing and Nancy (Cleo) Hopkins Jr. of Belding; several
grandchildren; several great grandchildren; his siblings, Max (Beulah) Bradley
of Roscommon, Lena (Paul) Jones of Orleans and a sister-in-law, Gladys Bradley
of Ionia.  Roy was preceded by his parents; one brother Richard; three
grandchildren, Todd Hopkins, Jessica Hopkins and Mike Grieves and one
great-granddaughter Kaylee Grieves.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home,
Belding with pastor Roger May of Grace Bible Chapel officiating.  Private
interment was in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ionia.  Memorial contributions may be
given to Grace Bible Chapel.
