March 6, 2018 GLADYS BRADLEY, 86 Gladys B. (Hevel) Bradley, 86, of Ionia, passed away March 1, 2018. Gladys was born in Carson City on Dec. 17, 1932. She married Richard Bradley of Ionia on Sept. 16,, 1948. Over the years they lived in many towns but Evart and Ionia were considered home. Her husband preceded her in death in 2005 after 57 years of marriage. Also preceding her in death was her son Steven Bradley, her parents Alva Hevel and Mildred Hull as well as their spouses. Gladys also had siblings Patricia Frisbey, Maryann Wohlfert Kelsey, Robert Hevel and granddaughters Heather Rae Edwards and Jodi Young proceed her in death as well as a infant son in 1951. She is survived by brother Russel Hevel (Doris Hevel) of Cadillac; daughters, Kathy Edwards (Ray Edwards) of Fenwick, Dawn Bradley of Ionia; daughter-in-law Mary Traub Bradley (Steve Bradley) of Lapeer; grandchildren, Eric Edwards (Tonya), Angela Edwards, Shantell Young, Terry Moore, Tom Young; great-grandchildren Breann Edwards, Laurissa Cornell, Brittney Edwards, Bradin Edwards, Shannon Young, Carmen Emily Young, Hayli young, Terry Moore, Sara Moore, Christine Moore, Sheri Moore, Shantell Moore and Ashley Shumaker. Gladys alway made many friends wherever she went and many are considered family. Family has requested no flowers but donations to Laurels of Carson City or Hospice of Michigan (Grand Rapids). She received the best loving care possible, not only to gladys but her entire family. Funeral services will be held at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Tuesday, March 6, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Hager officiating. Interment Balcom Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the service (10-11 a.m) at the funeral home.
