Ionia County News, 27 Mar 1924

Mrs. Sarah Bradley, 76, of Portland, died at the Lane Memorial home in Charlotte
Thursday morning.  She had been stricken with apoplexy the previous Saturday and
never regained consciousness.  She was a daughter of the late Isaac Phelps and
spent many years in this vicinity.  She was the widow of Harley Bradley and went
to the Charlotte institution, which is maintained by the U.B. society, two years
ago.  The remains were brought to the home of Lemuel Green, where funeral
services were held Friday afternoon.  Revs. Griffin and Beardslee, of Charlotte
officiated.  Others who came from that city were Mrs. Lash, matron of the home,
Mrs. Beardslee, Mrs. Guy and Miss Titus.  Burial was in Portland cemetery.
