Lawrence E. Brail, age 85, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2005 in Grand 
Rapids.  He was born on January 24, 1920 in Carson City, Michigan the son of 
Fred and Nellie (King) Brail.  Mr. Brail worked all his life as an auto 
mechanic, retiring from Grand Valley Chrysler-Plymouth in 1982.  He was a 
veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.  Lawrence married Irene 
Smith on November 7, 1946 in St. Johns, and she preceded him in death on 
November 3, 1995.  Also preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Lyle 
Brail.

Surviving are his sisters, Colleen Brail of Ionia and Marjorie Anspaugh of 
Colorado; nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be conducted by the Rev. Paul Bailey at 1 p.m. 
Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at Woodard Lake Cemetery, Ionia.  For those desiring, 
memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in memory of 
Mr. Lawrence E. Brail.
