IONIA- Mrs. Irene (Suzzie) Smith Brail, 70, of Ionia died Friday, Nov. 3, 1995 
at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital.



She was born Oct. 22, 1925 in Ronald Township, the daughter of Harvey and 
Fanney (Cutler) Smith.



She was raised by Floyd and Marjorie Stone since her parents died when she was 
10 years old. Irene was a graduate of Belding High School in 1944 and was 
married to Lawrence E. Brail on Nov. 7, 1946 in St. Johns. After high school 
she went to Washington D.C. to work for the F.B.I. Fingerprinting Division. 
After returning to Ionia she worked as a bookkeeper for Cobb & Anslow Auto Co. 
and Barker Coal Co.



Surviving are her husband Lawrence; foster parents Floyd and Marjorie Stone of 
Woodard Lake; two brothers and a sister and many nieces and nephews.



Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Woodard Lake Cemetery with 
Father Michael Danner officiating. Arrangements by Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.
