Brakora, 91, of Belding died Wednesday evening June 27, 2007 in Lansing. He was born January 31, 1916 in Orleans the son of Martin and Christina Hadlik Brakora. Charles graduated from Ss. Peter and Paul Academy of Ionia in 1934 and was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Belding. Charles worked at Extruded Metals in Belding retiring in 1978. Charles was preceded by his parents; his brothers, Fr. Tony, Stanley, Joseph, Henry, Martin and Fred; his sisters, Ann and Mary. Charles was married October 26, 1940 in Swartz Creek to Nellie Maida and she survives along with their children, Carolyn and Ron Fedewa of Grand Ledge, Jan Garver of Lansing, and John and Julie Brakora of Manistee.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his sisters, Barbara Sermak of Mio, MI, Agnes Brochu of Grand Blanc; and sister in law, Katherine Brakora of Canadian Lakes. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding with Fr. CK presiding.. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the Mass at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Sparrow Hospice in Lansing.
