Irene M. Braman, 96, of Fenwick, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2003, at 
Clark Retirement Community in Grand Rapids where she was a resident since 
1998.  She was born June 28, 1906 in Chicago the daughter of William J. 
Stevens and Anna Miller Stevens.  Irene was a former resident of East Lansing 
and long time resident of Fenwick.  She taught for many years in area public 
schools.

She is survived by one son, Robert (Gloria) Braman, of Land-O-Lakes, Fla.; two 
grandchildren, Robert (Debbie) Braman, of Tallahassee, Fla., James (Kathy) 
Braman, of Raleigh, N.C., and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in 
death by her husband Limer C. Braman, Dec. 29, 1994.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11 am. at Stebbins & Simpson Funeral Home 
in Sheridan with Rev. Larry Nalett of Fenwick United Methodist Church 
officiating.  Interment will be at Easton Cemetery.
