Braman, 81, No. 25 Belhaven, Belding, died Friday, May 19, 1995, at his residence. He was born Aug. 8, 1913, in Dildine, the son of Jesse and Angeline Vohlers Braman. He was the owner/operator of Modern Heating from 1947 until his retirement. He attended the Belding United Methodist Church and was a member of the Graylors of the church. He attended the Ionia Gleaners Club and was a former member of the Belding Area Chamber of Commerce, the Belding Jaycees and the Belding Sportsman’s Club. He was married on December 7, 1935, in Elkhart, Ind., to Gladys Hallock, who survives. Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Joan Braman, Belding, and John and Pamela Braman, Belding; his grandchildren, Rob and Annette Yeiter, Brenda and Don Canter, Marsha and Mark McQuillan, Shawn and Jim Austin, Carmen and Rod House, Kimberly Braman, Kendra Braman, Angela Braman; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ethelyn Gott, Belding. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Dana Jo Yeiter, on August 1, 1982; and five brothers, Augustus, Leslie, Limer, Chauncey and Royce. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Johnson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Nathanial Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Belding Untied Methodist Church or to the donor’s choice.
