Braman, 81, of Orleans Route 1 died Monday, Aug. 31, at 12:25 p.m. after being in failing health for some time. He was born July 29, 1872, in Bay City, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse A. Braman. He spent his early life in Bay City and was married there to Angie Vohlers. The family moved to Willoughby, O., where they lived for two years. In 1903 they went to Easton township where they operated the Dildine store and he farmed. His wife preceded him in death in 1943. Mr. Braman was a tool and die maker by trade and worked at the old Hayes Body Shop and at the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture company. Surviving him are a daughter, Mrs. Gus Gott, of Orleans; four sons, Limer C. of East Lansing, Chauncey C. of Lansing, Elton of Belding and Royce of Ionia; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home. Burial will be in Easton cemetery.
