Margaret M. Braman, 83, of Lyons passed away Dec. 7, 2003.  She was born Feb.
13, 1920 in Ionia, the daughter of Helmuth and Minnie (Melzow) Tafel.  She
graduated from Ionia High School in 1937.  She married Jay Braman on March 16,
1944, in Ionia.  He preceded her in death June 10, 1994.

Margaret farmed the family farm all her adult life with her husband Jay.  She
was a member of Lyons Muir Church and Methodist Women.  She worked on election
boards in Lyons.  She enjoyed crafts and cake decorating.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Helena Ruehs.  Surviving
are her daughters, Brenda (Daniel) Sheaffer of Ionia, Judy Braman of Lyons;
grandchildren, Mary Guendelsberger of Rochester and Anne and Darren Lance of
Holland.

Services were held Dec. 10 at Lake Funeral Home, Muir with Rev. Kathy Clark of
Lyons-Muir Church officiating.  Interment followed at Crystal Cemetery. 
Contributions to the American Lung Association, American Cancer Association or
Lyons Muir Church will be appreciated.
