The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, November 8, 1954

Forrest E. Branch, 70, lifelong resident of Lake Odessa, died Monday morning 
at 7:46 at Pennock Hospital at Hastings where he had been a patient for four 
weeks.  He was born March 27, 1883 in Odessa township the son of Stephen and 
Elmira Branch.

Mr. Branch was an employee of Consumers Power Company for 45 years and retired 
in 1948.  He was a member of the board of directors of the Union Bank for the 
last thirty years and served on the Lake Odessa Board of Education for 12 
years and was board president in 1922-23.  He was a member of the Lake Odessa 
Masonic lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Gay; one daughters, Mrs. Delora Myers, of Flint; one 
son, Rex Branch, of Grand Rapids; one sister, Mrs. Robert Curtis, of Lake 
Odessa and five grandchildren.

The body reposes at Pickens funeral chapel where services will be held 
Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Paul Robinson of Central 
Methodist church officiating.  Interment will be at Lakeside cemetery.
