The funeral of Mrs Stephen Branch was held Wednesday afternoon at the first United Brethren Church-the church she loved all her life. She was a loyal and devoted wife and mother, a loyal and devoted Christian and a loyal and devoted member of the local chapter of the Eastern Star of which order she was a charter member. She was always found doing her best in these places that meant the most to her life. The service was conducted by Undertaker Walter Wortley, Rev. C.H. Zuse gave the sermon and Rev. J.W. Blickenstaff read the 91 Psalm, the officiating ministers and Mrs.Bert Mourer sang Asleep in Jesus and Rest Sweet Rest, accompanied by Mrs. Champlin. the pall bearers were Chas., Moe, George Jarstfer, Charles Hatton and Calvin Charlton. The remains were placed in Lake Side cemetery. OBITUARY Elmira Riley Branch was born in Kalamazoo county, November 2nd, 1846, died August 29, 1927, aged 81 years, 9 months, 3 days, leaving her life long companion, one daughter, one son and three grandchildren.
