She suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on Oct. 11. She was the widow of Carl Brandner, a former jewelry store owner of Ionia. Surviving are a son, George, of Melvindale and two grandchildren. The body was removed to the Boynton funeral home where funeral services are pending. Subsequent Publication: Saturday, October 21, 1950 Services for Mrs. Elisabeth Brandner, 73, of 254 East Main street will be conducted from the Boynton funeral home Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Fr. John G. Carlton will officiate and interment will be in the family lot in the Highland Park cemetery. Mrs. Brandner died Wednesday at 9 p.m. at the Ionia County Memorial hospital. She was born in Ionia May 17, 1877, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Abbott. She lived her entire life in Ionia. She married Carl Brandner in 1904 and he died in 1941. Mr. Brandner was formerly of Waterloo, Wis. She was a member of the St. John’s Episcopal church and the Guild and a former member of the O.E.S., the Women’s Literary club, the White Shrine and the Ionia Country club. Surviving is a son, George, and two grandchildren in Melvindale.
