The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, September 10, 1940

Benjamin D. Brandt died Monday evening at his home in Muir following a stroke 
Wednesday of last week.  He was born in Ionia county, Orange township, March 
8, 1860.  He lived all his life at the farm home in Orange township until 
about 16 years ago when he moved into Muir to make his home.  Surviving is one 
brother, Albert, of Chicago.

Funeral services will be held from the Shaw funeral chapel in Muir Friday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Interment will be held at the Balcom cemetery.
