Ionia Sentinel - Thursday, Feb. 22, 1894

Mrs. Jane Branan, mother of Mrs. G. F. Whitney, on West Main street, died 
Tuesday morning at 6 o'clock at the age of 80 years. The funeral was held 
yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, the services being 
conducted by Rev. L. E. Lennox. Interment in Highland Park.
