Mrs. Branson, the widow of Thomas Branson, died five years ago, was born in Michigan, November 12, 1853, and with the exception of a five-year residence in Muskegon has always lived in this county. Last fall she went to the home of her grandson, Clarence Branson, to spend the winter and until last Tuesday was real well. Soon after she became sick, it was known that she needed hospital treatment and she was taken to the hospital, where she died. Her only affiliation with a public organization was with the Mite society of the Congregational church of Saranac. She leaves two sons, Levi, of Barryton, and Fred, of Berlin; a daughter, Mrs. Grover Haskins, of Grand Rapids; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
