Alice B. Branton, 80, of Woods Road, Fenwick, died Monday morning at her
residence.  She was born in Orleans Township on October 17, 1905, the daughter
of Frank and Grace Clawson Piper

She attended Orleans Schools and married Lewis Branton on December 31, 1931, at
the residence on Woods Road.  He preceded her in death on March 2, 1937.  She
attended the Shiloh Community Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Eleanor Sheaffer of Stanton and Mary Rich of
Greenville; a son, Donald Branton, of Hurst, Texas; a step-son, Willis Branton
of Dearborn; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary
Piper of Fenwick and Helen Johnson of rural Orleans; and several nieces and
nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. from the Shiloh Community
Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodard
Lake Cemetery.  Mrs. Branton reposes at the Montgomery Leddick Funeral home,
where visitation will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30
p.m.  A memorial fund has been established for the Shiloh Community Church. 
Contributions may be made at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Alice B. Branton, 80, of Woods Road, who died Monday, were
Thursday at 3 p.m. from the Shiloh Community Church, with the Rev. Kenneth
Harger officiating.  Church organist was Mrs. Beverly Harger. 

Interment was in Woodard Lake Cemetery.  Pallbearers were grandsons Leon
Litchfield, Bob Robinson, Kenneth Branton, Jim Branton, Willis Branton, Jr., and
Gary Rich.
