Ionia County News – Thursday, 7 March 1935

Mrs. Benj. Brawt died at her home in Tyrone Township, Livingston County, 
Friday, March 1.  She had been ill for many years and for the past five years 
had been confined to her bed.  Deceased, whose maiden name was Viola Hunter, 
was born in Keene Township, Ionia County, 60 years ago.  She was the daughter 
of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hunter.  In 1898 she was united in marriage with 
Benjamin Brawt at Six Lakes.  The funeral was held in Six Lakes Sunday, March 
3.  She is survived by a brother, Alfred Hunter, of Grand Rapids.
