Brayton, 49, a farmer living near Muir, died at his home Friday morning, October 31, at 2:30 of a heart ailment. He had suffered a heart attack in February of this year and became seriously ill two days before his death. Born in North Plains township, Ionia county, September 29, 1909, he attended Ionia high school and General Motors Institute at Flint. On August 8, 1928 he married Irene Pierce of Pewamo. For ten years they lived in Lansing, moving to their present farm home in 1943. Surviving, besides the widow, are two sons, William Jr., at home, and Larry in the U.S. Air Force in Texas; and two sisters, Mrs. James Fox and Miss Josephine Brayton, both of Muir. Funeral services were held Monday November 3, at 2 from the residence with Rev. Harold Cox, pastor of the Hubbardston Methodist church, officiating. Interment was in the Westside cemetery, Hubbardston. Arrangements were in charge of the Burns Funeral Home here.
