November 30, 1978 Emillard A. Brecheisen LAKE ODESSA - Emillard A. Brecheisen, 94, of Route 1, Lake Odessa died Tuesday, November 21, at Belding Nursing Home where he has lived for the past two and one-half years. Prior to that he lived with his son, Charles in Belding. He was born in Loudonville, Ohio may 21 1884 the son of George and Elizabeth Schumacher Brecheisen. His family moved to the Lake Odessa area when he was five years old and he attended the Brown school. In 1910 he married Minnie Haudenschild in Loudonville, Ohio. She preceded him in death in 1945. He had lived and farmed in the Lake Odessa area most of his life and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Woodland. Survivors include one son Charles Brecheisen of Belding; one brother, Carl Brecheisen of Hastings and three grandchildren. On son, George preceded him in death in 1919. Funeral services were Saturday, November 25, at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran, Church, Woodland. Rev. Timothy Rothfuss will officiate. Burial was in Freeport cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the Zion Lutheran Church and envelopes may be obtained at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel, Lake Odessa.
