Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 18 Jul 1939

Funeral services for Robert J. Breckon, 78, who died July 14, were held at his
residence at 441 Harter street at 3 p.m. Monday.  Officiating at the rites was
Rev. E.T. Kneebone, pastor of the St. John’s Episcopal church.  Flowers were in
charge of Mr. and Mrs. Norton Johnson of Saranac, and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Perrin
of Grand Rapids.

Bearers were Henry Voelker, Claude Barclay, Henry Gable, Robert Marshall, Harry
Miller and Charles McCarry, all of Ionia.  Interment was in the family lot in
Highland Park cemetery.

Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Perrin, Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Costen, Mr. and Mrs. Al Hall, Miss Beatrice Weirsma, Mrs. Virginia Griswold,
Mrs. Grace Sprague, Morris Sprague, Mr. and Mrs. Royal Breckon and family of
Grand Rapids; George Sprague of Hastings; Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Farnsworth, Mr. and
Mrs. Edson Farnsworth, Mrs. Leo Youngman of Lakeview; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wells
of Belding; Mr. and Mrs. Norton Johnson of Saranac.  Frank Breckon of Mishawaka,
Ind. only surviving brother of R. J. Breckon, was in Ionia Sunday.
