Girard post American legion auxiliary, the William H. Borden post woman’s relief corps, and the Degree of Honor, were seated each in a body for the funeral services of Mrs. Breckon. These were conducted at 3 o’clock by Dr. M.W. Duffey with the burial following in the Highland Park cemetery. Mrs. Breckon died Sunday afternoon following a brief illness. Members of the John F. Girard post American legion, Ralph Donaldson, Chester Black, Spencer Smith, D.O. Mellinger, Carl Seabrook and Paul Coy, served as bearers. The music was by Mrs. R.A. Colwell and Mrs. Thane Benedict. There were many flowers, symbols of the different fraternities to which she belonged and memorials of her many friends and relatives, which were in charge of Mrs. Paul Coy and Mrs. Roy Kendall. Those from out of town attending the services were Mrs. Mary Freeman, Mrs. Ernest Jones, George Clements, Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Farnsworth, Mr. and Mrs. Edson Farnsworth, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Youngman, Lakeview; Mrs. Christina Waite and Howard, Lansing; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ko_en and children, Mrs. Jeanette Johnson, Harvey Perrin, Elmer Hunter, of Grand Rapids; Mrs. G.H. Strowbridge, Rockford; Mr. and Mrs. William Strowbridge, Greenville; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wells, Belding; Mr. and Mrs. N.S. Johnson, Saranac.
