Daily Standard - Wednesday, July 13, 1904

Gustavus Brenke, who was injured on Wednesday, July 6, by being thrown from a 
hand-car on Pere Marquette road, died at 9 o'clock last evening as a result of 
the injuries. His age was 32, and he leaves a wife and for small children. 
funeral at Evangelical church on Friday, at 2:30 p.m. Deceased was a member of 
the Arbeiter Bund and of the Woodmen, having a life insurance of $500 and $2000 
in latter.
