Brennan, 78, wife of Phillip Brennan, died at the Ionia Convalescent Home Saturday, January 2 at 5 p.m. She had been a patient there for 12 days and had been in ill health for two years. She was born on a farm near LaSalle, Illinois, December 16, 1875, the daughter of Michael and Anna Karns. She was married January 3, 1894 to Phillip Brennan at Cullom, Illinois. If she had lived one more day they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Brennan lived on a farm near Cullom, Illinois until February 1921 when they moved to a farm in Ionia township. She was a member of the SS Peter and Paul Rosary Society. She is survived by her husband Philip, one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Lower, five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two foster sons, Bernard Clifford of Ionia, and Joseph Brennan of Chicago. Rosary will be said at the Boynton funeral home Monday at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the SS.
