Ionia Standard – 14 December 1883
Isaac Bretz of Sebewa died on the 10th inst.  He was 56 years old.  Mr. Bretz 
was a prominent citizen of his township, having represented it upon the board 
of Supervisors several terms.  And was a man of a good deal more than ordinary 
ability, with a positive character and a fixed purpose.  His influence was 
strongly felt as far as his acquaintance extended.  His loss will be felt in 
the county.
