F. Brewer died at her home, 902 Fifth avenue, Grand Rapids, Sunday afternoon, of heart disease. Her age was 45 years. She had been in poor health for about two years, and in critical condition two or three months. She was a resident of Ionia most of her life until about a year ago, when they moved to Grand Rapids. Her maiden name was Flora Bush. She leaves no children, but three brothers, Frank, Abram and John and one sister, Mrs. Frank Signs, survive. A niece, Miss Bessie Bush, made her home with Mrs. Brewer, was a graduate of the Ionia schools, and is married to Dr. Farnham of Battle Creek. The funeral services will be held at the home at 12:30 on Wednesday and remains will be brought here by 3:42 train for interment in Highland Park. Mr. Brewer has been an employee of the Pere Marquette road since 1876, for about 24 years of the time as engineer. He was a competent and careful engineer with a most excellent record, but he lost his place in December last from defective sight as shown by examination, it being the opinion that a cataract was forming. Since that time he has been an employe at the shops and around home near Grand Rapids, first as engine inspector and latterly as locomotive hostler.
