Carlton J. Brewster, 70, 1125 Kenwood Ave., Belding, passed away Tuesday, Sept.
29, 1998, at Home of Hope, Grand Rapids.  He was born Sept. 2, 1928, in
Lakeview, to Allen A. and Ethelyn M. Treat Brewster.  He was a veteran of the
Korean War and a member of the Greenville American Legion Post 101.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara M. Brewster, on May 18, 1997.  He is
survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Steven Lyday of Acworth, Ga.;
two sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Ellen Brewster of Belding, David and
Rachel Brewster of Stanton; two brothers, Thomas Brewster of Florida, Roy
Brewster of Aho, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Huffman Funeral home, Belding,
with the Rev. Dick Woodward officiating.  Interment will be in Otisco Cemetery,
Belding.  Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral
home.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Grand Rapids.
