Clara Marie Brewster, 62, 1125 Kenwood Ave., Belding, passed away Sunday, May
18, 1997, at United Memorial Hospital, Greenville.  She was born Dec. 19, 1934,
in Mountain Home, Ark., to Austin Lee and Ella Alman Summers.  She was employed
at the Amway Corp. from 1971 to 1992.

She is survived by her husband, Carlton J. Brewster of Belding; her father,
Austin Lee Summers of Salem, Mo.; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Steven
Lyday of Atworth, Ga.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Ellen Brewster
of Belding, David and Rachel Brewster of Stanton; one brother, James Summers of
Rollo, Mo.; three grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home, Belding,
with the Rev. Dick Woodward officiating.  Interment will be in Otisco Cemetery,
Belding.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the
funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes
Association or the Kidney Foundation.
