Max V. Bricker, 75, of Cadillac, died Thursday at the Lakeland General 
Hospital in Lakeland, Fla.  Mr. Bricker was born on May 1, 1904, in Ionia.  He 
was married to Ann E. Breen on Oct. 19, 1935, at Lake Placid, N.Y.  

He has lived in Cadillac since 1962.  Mr. Bricker attended Ionia Public 
Schools and graduated from Western Michigan University in 1927.  He had served 
as assistant manager and acting manager for several hotels, most recently at 
the Caberfae Motor Lodge in Cadillac until his retirement.  Mr. Bricker was a 
member of the Hotel Greeters Association and the Tri-Town Conservation Club in 
Comstock Park.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard J. of Odenton, Md.; two daughters, 
Mrs. Ronald (Betty) Wies of Marshall and Mrs. Charles (Alice) LaBar of 
Cadillac; two brothers, Louis Bricker of Ionia and Harley Bricker of Defiance, 
Ohio; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home in 
Cadillac with the Rev. Russell Brandt officiating.  Burial will be in the 
Burdell Township Cemetery in Tustin.  The family will receive friends and 
relatives at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 
p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
