IONIA- Louis D. Bricker, 80, of Ionia, died Tuesday evening at the Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Ionia on December 10, 1905, the son of Jason and Carrie 
(Jaques) Bricker. He lived his entire life in Ionia, and was graduated from 
Ionia High School with the class of 1923.

He then attended Western Michigan University. He worked for the Grand Valley 
Brewery Company and the Electric Service and Supply Company, both Ionia 
firms, and then worked at Hiler's Clothing Store until retiring in May 1972.

He was married to Mary E. Grescoviak in Ionia on November 30, 1940, and they 
made their home at the present residence on High Street for the past 43 
years. He was a member of the Ionia Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, David, of Ionia; a daughter, Mrs. 
Jan (Mary Frances) Neustifter of Carmel, Indiana; three grandchildren and a 
stepbrother, Harley Bricker of Defiance, Ohio.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held Saturday at 
11 a.m. from the Montgomery-Leddick Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Brucker 
at SS. Peter and Paul Church officiating. There will be no visitation prior 
to the memorial service.

Memorials have been established for SS. Peter and Paul Church and the Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital, in care of the funeral home.
