The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, November 7, 1944


Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the 
Fitzjohn funeral home, Belding, for Mrs. Odelia Bricker, 78, widow of Willis 
F. Bricker former Belding postmaster and state representative who died in 
1927.  Burial will be in Belding cemetery.

Odelia Mehney was born in a log cabin in Keene township the daughter of Mr. 
and Mrs. Nicholas Mehney, and was married to Mr. Bricker in 1889 and had lived 
in Belding since.  

She is survived by two sons, Wilfred and Gordon of Belding; two daughters, 
Mrs. H. L. Fletcher of Belding and Mrs. D. F. Gallagher of Detroit; one 
stepdaughter, Mrs. Neva Divine of Philadelphia; five grandchildren; four great 
grandchildren; one brother and three sisters.
